Kiehl's Facial Fuel

For Extraordinary Men.

I met a man that said he used Dawn (not Dove. Dawn. The dish soap) as a body wash. I wish this utter lack of personal hygiene was limited to this atrocity, but it’s not. Only 20% of straight men have a skincare routine, and less than half wash their faces at all.

When a man does use skincare, stats show that a woman generally buys his hygiene supplies. Using this research, we targeted both men and women by showcasing how attractive it is when a man has his skin together.

Fun Facts:

  • This campaign is just as much a PSA as it is advertising. Men, please wash your faces. I implore you.

  • As I presented the research, only one man in my class made eye contact with me.

  • He had great skin. And was gay.

  • I got a freelance storyboard artist gig from this.

  • According to various articles, the top non-sexual turn-ons for women included “making eye contact”, “talking excitedly”, and—my personal favorite—“having a book on his bedside table”.

  • Smelling good and decent hygiene also made it on most of the lists.

  • The top non-sexual turn-on for men was “maid outfit”.

  • That still feels like sexual turn-on to me, but I digress.
